Model Maps

Model Maps are special display windows that show the relationship between entities, collections, and actions.  The following Model Map represents a simple model.  

 

 White nodes                Entity Types

 Green nodes                Collections and sub-collections

 Orange triangles        Actions

 Arrows                        Show the information from the source node that is used in the destination

 

When created, each model map contains all nodes from the current model definition.  The nodes and the arrows can be repositioned in the same manner as diagram nodes.  Model Maps do not currently allow any other objects to be added.   Nodes cannot be deleted, but they may be hidden.  (see below)

Context click on the background to see the following choices.

The Filter Nodes diaglog can be used to select specific nodes for inclusion (or exclusion).  Another option allow the selection of only one node plus allow of its connections.

The user may click on nodes to access the same functions that are available in the Model Overview.
